Cancellation policy
Booking, cancellation and weather terms for every service we run.
How much notice you need depends on what you booked, and the windows are in the table below. The one thing that never changes: if we cancel for weather, you get a full credit whatever the notice.
General terms
PaymentFull payment is taken at the time of booking.
How to cancel or rescheduleEmail info@dogpatchpaddle.com, or reply to your confirmation email. Your cancellation timestamp is when your email lands in our inbox.
CreditsIssued as electronic vouchers, valid 12 months, transferable once, not redeemable for cash.
RefundsProcessed back to the original payment method within 7 business days, where a refund applies.
Late arrivals and no-showsArriving 15 minutes after start time with no notice counts as a no-show, and is non-refundable.
Late returnsYour rental ends at the time on your booking. Boards and boats back more than 15 minutes late are charged for the next full hour at the standard rate.
Force majeureWhen events beyond our control - severe weather, wildfire smoke, government order - make operations unsafe or illegal, we may cancel or modify any service. Our sole obligation is to issue credit.
Consumer rightsNothing here limits any non-waivable rights you hold under applicable consumer-protection laws.

Camps differ in two ways. At 60 days or more the policy is a full refund, and inside 30 days you can still recover the payment as transferable credit by providing a replacement camper at least 7 days before camp.
Weather & water conditions
We paddle in most conditions, but high winds, rain, extreme turbulence, poor visibility or unsafe air quality may trigger a weather hold.
If we cancel for safetyFull credit. No refunds.
If you cancel while conditions are safeThe standard windows above apply.
Weather calls are normally made two hours before start time using NOAA, Windy and real-time bay sensors, and our decision is final. Credits are valid for any Dogpatch Paddle service for 12 months.
Rescheduling and exceptions
ReschedulingOutside the non-refundable window you may reschedule once at no charge, subject to availability. Additional changes carry a $20 admin fee.
Medical & emergency exceptionEmail a dated physician’s note or comparable proof within 7 days of the booking and we’ll convert non-refundable payments to credit.
Submitting payment confirms you have read, understood and agreed to these terms, for yourself and for anyone you book.
